So you’re looking for a store locator service for your website, you have maybe seen things like Store Locator for Shopify but you’re using WordPress (or another solution). Well you’re in luck because Mapply, our new Store Locator service that powers Store Locator for Shopify is waiting for you.

Mapply is a new tool developed here at Bold that not only powers our Shopify App but can be used on any website wheather it is powered by Drupal, WordPress, or a custom solution your company has made in house. The best part is on the actual website, all you have to do is supply a simple snippet of code and your store locator is displaying on your website in no time.

<script id="locator" src="//app.mapply.net/front-end/js/locator.js" data-api-key="store_locator.MAPPLY_API" data-path="//app.mapply.net/front-end/" data-maps-api-key="GOOGLE_API"></script><a href="mapply.net">Store Locator Powered By Mapply</a>

But I’m A WordPress Kinda Guy and I don’t Know Code!

No problem we have you covered. We just released a new WordPress plugin that helps you integrate your Mapply account with your WordPress website. All you need is your Mapply API key and your Google Maps API key (There are instructions in the app don’t worry) and a shortcode to display the map on any post or page on your site.

Sortcode:

[mapply]

The shortcode is replace by the plugin with your snippet so all you have to remember is the shortcode.

How On Earth Do I Add My Mapply Account!?

Once you have your Mapply account the actual set up on the WordPress end is simple. You just need to add the plugin to your website either by going to WordPress.org or by searching the plugin directory from inside your admin section.

The plugin will add a settings page which will allow you to add your keys. Other than that all you have to do add your shortcode.

Once those keys are saved you’re good to go. You can check out a real live Mapply demo right here at the bottom of this post (how cool is that?) so you can play with it and get an idea of what it is like on your website.

But How Do I Know This Plugin Is Safe!?

Well that is an easy question. The WordPress plugin is open source (don’t worry, your data is very safe). You can see what we are doing with the keys you saved, and how we get the map to your website. You can see that we’re not adding anything that you don’t want like ads and you can even see that this plugin is driven by the community. We care about these things and we want to make sure you are comfortable with what you are adding to your website.

If you know a little about coding or have a dev team, you can even contribute to the development of the plugins that help make Mapply such a fantastic service.

I Want To Try That!

So what do you think? Give Mapply a whirl on your WordPress website we will even give you a 30 day free trial to get it going and see it in action working for you. We have a great support department to get you set up (or even ask a question right here, I like helping you).

Demo Time

This is a live demo of Mapply using my account (with some test data) showing some examples of custom search filters and searching. Go ahead and play with it.
